@KalahariThe@bensmithrugby You're proving his point - Cullen is never discussed as the greatest ever player, is he? The best 15 maybe, but he is not in the same convo as Carter or McCaw etc. Du pont might be the best 9, but he has only won player of the year once. Once. McCaw and Carter 3 times each.
@RugbyPass What kind of jokers organised this tournament and allowed schools to field teams of completely different age groups? Some are U18 teams and some U17...isn't the whole point of this to showcase the best school rugby?
@Joeyeo92@AndrewBrownhil@RassieRugby That isn't him joining the maul though, and you know that. He joined earlier, on-side. As soon he would be in an off-side position he disengages and runs around the back, by which stage the French hooked has already infringed.
@Joeyeo92@AndrewBrownhil@RassieRugby No - he is still bound to the SA players. You do realise your are allowed to drive a maul sideways? How do you think teams drive a maul into touch?
@bensmithrugby We also know how to prepare for a world cup. Would you rather be Ireland right now having "won" against the boks but never having made it past a quarter final, or the boks with the highest WC success rate, of any team, ever? We know what we're doing, Ireland don't.
@gotthetrotts@Andrewmuf @eggynewydd You do realize that PSDT hit his own head right? He didn't put a shoulder in, he smacked his own head after being pushed off balance. And you think he did that on purpose? Felt like slamming his own face into someone did he? After not 1 card his entire career. Sure.
@gotthetrotts@Andrewmuf @eggynewydd What do you mean he wasn't pushed? The clip is right in front of you, in this thread. Watch Kwagga Smith, he clearly pushes him. Are you seriously pretending you can't see that?
@fdermer@AndrewBrownhil@RassieRugby No he isn't, he doesn't have any effect on the maul until later when he drives in and is then, offside. But by that stage the hooker has already transgressed.
@stephenjones9 You can place the ball once, that's the point. So yes, he can reach out and place it, but only once. If you apply the law, his one (and the only one allowed) placement of the ball, was short. Anything else is a double movement.
@AndrewBrownhil@RassieRugby Do you not understand what "fully bound" means in the lawbook? In your own clip, that you just posted, you can see 16 blue is not fully bound BEFORE Eben even comes around - therefore obstruction, therefore SA penalty. It's the most basic thing to ref in a maul.
@eksteene@SuperSportTV No they aren't despite having it under fixtures on their website. Why is it on your fixtures list it you aren't playing it @SuperSportTV ?
@nzherald What exactly is Gregor Paul basing this assertion that "faster games are more entertaining" on? Where is your proof? NFL is way bigger than any rugby comp and their games take 3 hours and are full of stoppages. How about some actual research/facts in your journalism @nzherald ?
@CouchReferee What's my point? You said he had a great game...that is a game-changing error he made right there. No knock-on, clearly a rip, should have been play on, not advantage NZ.
