@Seb__flyte1 In my freshman theology class at a Jesuit college (this was 1982), the professor (not a priest) handed out a mimeographed copy of a Playboy interview with Ayn Rand. It was required reading for the class.
@UncleFlapjacks It was in our Catholic school library and in the early 70s it was one of the most popular books. It was always being chec ked out by someone.
@BoldenSkip First Planet of the Apes movies I saw in the movies. I was 7 and had never seen or heard of the other two. It started a 7 year obsession with the Ape universe and it still continues.
@PunishedBPHM Over the past few years my parish often doesn't have any altar servers at Mass. I see a lot of young people at Mass. I don't know what's going on.
@Seb__flyte1 I would always hear rumors about what she was writing with her previous books. I haven't heard a thing since The Goldfinch and that was 13 years ago. I love rereading them like old friends. The first chapter of Little Friend could stand on its own as a novella.
