A typical day at Sensible Software in the early 1990s.
Years later everything I learnt during these wonderful days has been applied to our game UrbX Warriors.

@MuseumCommodore Great post!
I think that for me, buying this (which I have) is about having a beautifully crafted replica of my favourite Amiga and have the ability to relive the experience.
Sure, I could emulate anything for pennies, but this is about the experience.
Now, I need a dust cover
Is THEA1200 worth £170? 🤔
With the exciting Amiga and TheA1200 news this week, for reference -> https://t.co/5vC2j2Mtq3 the question is, is Retrogames Ltd's re-imagined Amiga 1200 worth the money?
Here’s every current Commodore Amiga 1200 listings visible on eBay UK right now:
High-end / fully expanded
1. CSA1250 + 16 MB + 2 GB HD: £1,322 + £477 US shipping ≈ £1,800
2. TF1260 68060 Rev 6 + 128 MB + 64 GB boxed: £1,121 + £391 US ≈ £1,512
3. ACA1234 68030 + 128 MB + SSD/CF + Gotek + Indivision (Belgium): £943 + £34 ≈ £977
Nice boxed / warranty seal / HD systems
1. Race ‘n’ Chase boxed (powers on, seal intact): £800 + £167 ≈ £967
2. Boxed with genuine software: £870 + £84 ≈ £954
3. German HD boxed Kick 3.1/WB 3.1: £762–£783 + £83 ≈ £845–£866
4. German CF Card + Kick 3.0/WB 3.1: £750–£773 + £66 ≈ £816–£839
5. Boxed (parts only): £650–£660 + £160 ≈ £810–£820
More affordable end
1. Complete tested/cleaned 2 GB CF + books: £450 + £155 ≈ £605
That’s the actual market today. Decent working or boxed A1200 originals are regularly £800–£1,000+ delivered. Properly upgraded ones are £950–£1,800.
THEA1200 at ~£170
Full-size A1200 case, working keyboard, mouse + gamepad, HDMI, USB sideloading, Workbench 3.1, WHDLoad, 25 licensed games (Turrican trilogy, Settlers II, Beneath a Steel Sky, etc.)...and you can load your favourites from USB.
No capacitor issues, no yellowing, no extra converters needed.
Even against the cheapest complete system currently listed (£605), it’s still less than 1/3rd the price.
Against the typical “nice” boxed ones people actually buy (£800–£950) it’s 1/5th. Against the accelerator monsters it’s 1/8th to 1/10th.
If you want original 1990s Amiga 1200 and the collector experience, buy an OG, if you can afford it. I have one, it is a beautiful machine, but...
If you just want to play Amiga games on a full-size machine with a real keyboard in 2026 without the hassle or cost, THEA1200 is extremely good value.

🇬🇧 WE ARE AUDITING EVERY SINGLE LABOUR MP.
Not a sample. Not just the Cabinet.
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
We are building a massive public-record database mapping:
→ Donations & declared financial interests
→ Charities & NGOs
→ Migration & asylum organisations
→ APPGs and parliamentary groups
→ Outside jobs & advisory positions
→ Company connections
→ Overseas visits & hospitality
→ Parliamentary activity
→ Government funding connected to organisations in the network
Then we join the records together.
WHO IS CONNECTED TO WHOM?
WHO FUNDS THE ORGANISATIONS?
WHERE DOES PUBLIC MONEY GO?
WHERE DO POLITICS, NGOs AND BUSINESS OVERLAP?
The screenshot below is just ONE layer of the database.
Everything sourced. Everything checkable.
For decades this information has been scattered across parliamentary registers, government databases, company records, charity accounts and financial disclosures.
AI changes that.
We can search, structure and cross-reference enormous quantities of public information at a speed that simply wasn't practical before.
And Labour is only the beginning.
Eventually, the same methodology can cover the whole of Westminster.
🇬🇧 The British people deserve to know who influences their Parliament and where their money goes.
FOLLOW THE RECORDS.
FOLLOW THE NETWORK.
FOLLOW THE MONEY.
🚨 IF THEY CAN’T PASS AN AUDIT, THEY CAN’T RAISE YOUR TAXES.
I’ve launched a petition to make this law:
❌ Fail audit = no tax rises and no bigger budget.
❌ Fail two years running = those responsible cannot stand for re-election.
Politicians should not be allowed to demand more of your money when they cannot properly account for the money they already have.
If you agree, please sign and share my petition.

We strengthened the original "tested to 3 million moves" design, added a little Commodore magic, and even snuck the Chicken Lips into the logo.
@commodoreofcl I have looked at splitting the roles of my devices. Callback for comms, tablet for the rest of the functions I would otherwise have with an android when I 'want' the distractions and my PC (maybe a future Commodore/Amiga?) for the beefier work and games.
Ahhhh
Going to #Gamescom?
Then be sure to stop by our stand in the Retro Area (Hall 10.2).
We'll be showcasing 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗔𝟭𝟮𝟬𝟬, giving you the chance to see it up close!
Which game would you like to see running on 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗔𝟭𝟮𝟬𝟬? Tell us in the comments!
One year ago today, Commodore rebooted. What a year it's been! The Commodore 64 Ultimate wouldn't be where it is without you. Now it's time to build Year Two.
We're launching Made For U(ltimate), an initiative for new games built specifically for the Commodore 64 Ultimate's unique capabilities. Every title will proudly carry an official Made For U(ltimate) holographic sticker.
But first, Peri wants to hear from the people who matter most: you. Take our quick survey and tell us what games, features, and experiences you'd love to see.
Thank you for making this first year unforgettable.

@UlrichSchmitz @commodoreofcl Quite possibly, I can think of a number of better products to release. I sincerely hope the company's future does not hinge on this product. Nevertheless I'll support any way I can, after all I never thought they'd be back at all.
