I experienced something very upsetting earlier today.

I understand that not everyone likes yuri/GL pairings. Not everyone has to enjoy the same ships, and that's perfectly fine. If you dislike a pairing or feel uncomfortable with it, you can simply mute, block, or ignore it.

What frustrates me is that I wasn't bothering anyone. I was simply sharing artwork that I spent my time drawing, yet it feels like I was singled out and targeted just because of the pairing I chose to draw.

Shortly after posting my artwork, it was marked as sensitive content. I also saw people openly encouraging others to report yuri artists and their artwork. On top of that, some people took my artwork, treated it like free material, ran it through AI, and used it to mock it.

I genuinely don't understand this behavior. If you dislike my art or the pairing, that's your choice. But going out of your way to target artists, ridicule their work, and try to silence them crosses a line.

What makes it even more frustrating is that some people attack others and then immediately block them, leaving no chance for any discussion or response.

I don't expect everyone to like what I draw. I only ask for the same basic respect that every artist deserves.

Disliking something is normal. Harassing artists over it is not.

I will be sharing screenshots, but I have censored their names and profile information.
I am not posting these to target anyone or encourage harassment. I am not asking anyone to attack, harass, or confront them.
My intention is simply to show what happened and explain why I am upset about the situation.

And lecturing one community using someone else's misinformation (they may not know that their community does this as well to be fair) to attack the community isn't a good idea.
