A timely reminder on election day for me: how much our infrastructure and services have been mutilated last decade or two. 11 hours so far at a hospital A&E for an unwell family member to get a bed and treated. Not making a political point, just want some hope! #UKElections2024
@MarinaPurkiss My take- I think it's a bit of desperation perhaps too? There seems to be real fear in Rishi's face and demeanour - it brings out the aggression, bluster and a but of BS. Last throw of the dice as he exits...
@KateEMcCann Coincidental change of mind perhaps? Unrelated to USA news that his other grift/meal ticket was found guilty on 34 counts? He is right though, he will create a new opposition to replace tories.
@acjimbo@TheTotallyShow@oilysailor@honigstein@Zonal_Marking Lots of mentions of Newcastle's return to the UCL after 20 years. Sad irony the match played during the week marking five years since #JamalKhasoggi was murdered - without being noted much either? Has the Saudi PIF sportswashing strategy worked fully already?!
@Baddiel .....Or covered in dirt after lying down in front of bulldozers at Heathrow, or covered in paint when making his cardboard model buses..... see a pattern?
Maybe I'm out of date with current trends in Software, but it feels like #Twitter are doing A/B testing with ALL USERS. Just pushing out changes for the sake of it - whether they are bad or not. What a terrible mess. #Shambolic#DigitalMess#ElonTwitter
#bbcqt#Brexit question a bit interesting. Shabana waffled for 3 mins and avoided saying anything Labour would do, Jacob RM lied with little challenge (Just accepted as normal?). Surprised at Peter's assertion he didn't campaign or have responsibility for Brexit: will check that
@pekkagaiser @codinghorror I know what you mean, but I recall (Maybe wongly) that film being pushed as a remake of the original, which is why I hated it!
Fmr Environment Sec George Eustice has spoken about the post-Brexit UK/Australia trade deal in the Commons. He says now no longer a minister: "I no longer have to put such a positive gloss on what was agreed...the Australia deal is not actually a very good trade deal for the UK."
@EmilyThornberry 'Gloss'? Am I mistaken? Am sure he spoke in parliament saying it was a good deal for the UK at the time? He needs to explain a few things, i.e., why accept and go along with it? Easy to pin everything on the abysmal Truss well after the event...
Trying to not vomit breakfast watching @GillianKeegan bury her dignity on @BBCBreakfast as she deflects when asked about #Williamson and PM judgement. The line about Keir backing hopeless Corbyn is two way - does she think Tories who voted Truss have bad or worse judgement?!
