Do not consider the waiting wasted because you cannot yet see the result. God can use every season to prepare us for His purpose. What He is building in us through the process may be just as important as what He intends to accomplish through us.

God also tells us, “Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:4). This means we should not despise the seasons that require patience.

God says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD” (Psalm 37:23). This reminds us that our journey is not made up of meaningless seasons.

God's process may test us, stretch us, correct us, and sometimes humble us, but His purpose is not to destroy us. Like gold refined through fire, the process can remove what does not belong and reveal what God has placed within us.

God is not only interested in where we are going; He is deeply concerned with who we become on the way there.

Some things God wants to give us cannot be safely carried by the person we are today. The process develops the person who can faithfully handle the purpose, responsibility, influence, and blessings ahead.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
