Your child's school has an assistant superintendent for curriculum, an assistant superintendent for instruction, a director of teaching and learning, and a coordinator of academic services. Your child's teacher has thirty-two kids and no copy paper. This is not a funding problem. It is a priority problem.
My high school math teacher Mr D was known for one thing.
He reused the same exam questions every year. Just changed the numbers. Everyone knew it. He also made a very big deal of collecting every paper back after we reviewed our scores so nobody could pass them to the next year's class.
Of course some of my classmates got their hands on a full set of tests from the previous year.
Within a week everyone had a copy.
Before every exam we'd sit together and work through every problem on the old test until we could solve them in our sleep. When the real exam landed the numbers were different but the logic was identical.
We thought we were geniuses.
Years later I became a teacher myself. Ran into Mr D at a funeral.
Me: I have to confess something.
Me: We had a copy of your old tests the whole time.
Me: Full set. Every exam.
Him: (smirked)
Him: Who do you think leaked them?
Me: (stared at him)
Him: Kids won't study if a teacher tells them to.
Him: But if they think they're getting away with something?
Him: (shrugged)
Him: They study all night.
Me: (stood there)
Me: (replayed four years of feeling clever)
Me: (we were never clever)
Me: (he played us perfectly)
Me: (I became a teacher and I still got played)
Me: (Mr D was built different)
In my teaching experience…
Teachers who never question administrators’ decisions often get labeled as “good teachers.”
Teachers who do ask questions often get labeled as “difficult.”
Have you seen this too?
If a student repeatedly…
• Disrupts learning
• Threatens others OR
• Refuses to follow basic expectations AFTER multiple interventions, they must learn remotely.
Every student deserves an education.
That includes the students trying to learn.
We had a great time at the Tishomingo State Park’s Earth Day celebration!
It was a privilege to set up our table and connect with local students about how forests are about more than just trees; they’re about clean air, water, and the products we use every day.

“Thank you’s” don’t pay the bills.
If you really want to show appreciation to teachers… vote for legislators who will support public education and fund it appropriately.

FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND! This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow War Fighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue. At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine. This miraculous Search and Rescue Operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave Pilot, yesterday, which we did not confirm, because we did not want to jeopardize our second rescue operation. This is the first time in military memory that two U.S. Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory. WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND! The fact that we were able to pull off both of these operations, without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded, just proves once again, that we have achieved overwhelming Air Dominance and Superiority over the Iranian skies. This is a moment that ALL Americans, Republican, Democrat, and everyone else, should be proud of and united around. We truly have the best, most professional, and lethal Military in the History of the World. GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS, AND HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!
Joseph of Arimathea pulled a corpse off a cross with his bare hands.
Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms.
He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet.
Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered.
They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut.
And everything you've ever done went in with Him.
Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The
lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone.
The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different.
That man was buried with Christ.
Stone sealed. Done.
Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone.
Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark.
Then the stone moved.
And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done
with the clothes he used to wear.
Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing.
Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean.
That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week.
Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him.
You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back.
The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years
ago.
Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded.
Walk out.
Tell every young man that if you’re man enough to father a child, you must be man enough to raise that child.
Stop taxpayer subsidies that discourage marriage.
Hold deadbeat dads accountable.
And tell kids the truth about how likely they are to end up in poverty if they have a child before getting married and having a job.
