Having parents who didn't prepare you for literally anything in life, judging you for being "behind" as an adult is definitely a canon event for a lot of neurodivergent people.
This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
You cannot spend years breaking a child's spirit and then expect a few words in adulthood to repair what took years to destroy. You cannot teach a child to fear your footsteps, your voice, your moods, and your anger, then expect them to see you as a source of comfort later in life.
Once you realize as a man you ain’t gotta explain a thing… let people create narratives, and once you learn that 1 person is too small to focus solely on… life becomes easy. It takes about 30 years of age to realize this. Ignore the world and get to the bag. Drama is a distraction.

if you’re an up coming artist, you should listen to your gut. but that also comes with taking accountability for YOUR role in why nothing you’re doing is working. being set in your ways when your ways have been tried long enough to realize “there must be a different way” is just ego. lotta times the reward is in the reroute. best of luck 🥂
