Chapter 1: The Jon Germain snitch and Okraku Mantey citing Sarkodie's issue with Charterhouse as one of the reasons for the suit.

Sarkodie had performed the new version of 'Kokooko' with Akwaboah at Rapperholic, wearing a white outfit to celebrate the memory of the late legend. The image of Daasebre was projected on the screen and fans loved it.

29th December, 3 days after the event, Sarkodie released the audio version and posted on twitter: “Kokooko ft. Akwaboah prod by JaySo.”

Okraku-Mantey then said on Hitz FM'S Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty that he would sue Sarkodie for theft of intellectual property.

He explained he produced the song with Zapp Mallet and Daasebre provided the lyrics. Further added that it was Jon Germain then host for Starr FM's 'The Zone', who sent him the link to the song.

Mark's claims were that, he wanted a call from Sarkodie to ask for prior approval before going ahead to touch the song, which, he'd have had no issues with.

Adding that he did not want the song associated with “funeral, alcohol and what have you.”. According to him, he was not looking for money.

One intriguing aspect of his reasons was the Charterhouse angle. He referred to Sarkodie’s 2015 objection when Charterhouse ran his name without a closed deal.

Mark had been a long serving board member of the Ghana Music Awards and clearly wasn't happy about the Sarkodie Charterhouse brouhaha in 2015.
