Dear ProLifers, I know you're angry with me. Just because you don't like the word "ABORTION" doesn't mean you didn't have one. If you had an incomplete miscarriage, & had a D&C performed, you had an abortion. Your medical record says "abortion". If the hospital sent any documentation to your insurance, it says "abortion" etc... It's ok to admit it.
I know it's hard for you, because at this point, you've spent so long screaming, "ABORTION IS MURDER" from the rooftops, that admitting it's a more complex issue would feel like a defeat.
I get it. It's hard to admit when you're wrong.
But, it's time. Ok?
The word "abortion" has been weaponized.
It's time to stop digging your heels in with your ignorant, angry views. Abortion, & abortion related care, apply to a multitude of pregnancy related complications.
I know how you feel about elective abortion.
We ALL know how you feel about it.
You're VERY LOUD about it.
But your views only seem to speak to that particular version of women who decide to have an abortion.
Again, & I know this is a trigger for you, but a D&C performed after an incomplete miscarriage, is still an abortion.
Your "prolife" movement has become an angry, distorted version of what I'm sure it was meant to be. It's not Christian. It's cruel. Your attacks on families like mine, make that evident.
The Texas abortion ban resulted in the maternal death rate skyrocketing! It rose by 56%! (compared to 11% across the rest of the U.S.).
The Texas abortion ban resulted in an INCREASE in infant deaths! Infant death rose 13% (compared to 1.8% across the rest of the U.S.).
So, please help me understand.
More pregnant mothers are dying!
More infants are dying!
How exactly is that PRO LIFE?!
Let me help you... It's not.
Whatever your "pro life" movent was meant to be, has turned into something else. Something backwards. Something evil.
If you have the courage, I sincerely hope you can take a moment to question your beliefs. I hope you can break the spell, & see the light.
Sincerely,
Ryan
PS. I know how much it irks you when I use a "moody" black & white photo. Did you ever stop, & think about why I might use/share photos like this? Because I'm smart enough to understand how to reach the most people on social media. My aim has always been to reach as many people as possible. For my wife. For my daughter. The more people I reach, the better my chances of changing hearts & minds. Which, I know our story already has. I will continue to do whatever I can to elect the appropriate people, change the laws, & reverse these barbaric abortion bans. As a husband & father, I have to do whatever I think it best to defend & protect my family. If I make you angry, or disagree with you in the process. Tough sh!t. After what happened to my wife, I would hope any husband or father would be out here fighting for his family.

Good morning. Long-ish post. Hope you don't mind☕️ I'm back home after a whirlwind trip to New Hampshire. Why did I go to New Hampshire? I went to share the stark reality of what an abortion ban looks like. Whether it's me, or my friend Amanda Zurawski, or Kate Cox, or one of the many others... We have become walking, talking examples of real life nightmares.
New Hampshire is still very much a "purple" state. The Republicans in New Hampshire have made it clear that they will support a near total abortion ban. It's something they've already tried, and if they get into power there, they will find a way. They are blindly supporting Trump, and like most Republicans, will fall in line if he gets back into the White House.
People on the Christian, conservative, Republican side of things love to say "There's no such thing as a Trump abortion ban". Which is, of course, an ignorant thing to say.
Without Trump overturning Roe v Wade (something he brags about doing), we wouldn't have these nightmare stories to tell.
We are living in the wake of what Donald Trump did. These abortion bans are most certainly his doing.
Whether it's the Vice President, or Planned Parenthood, or Colin Allred... or anyone else who needs me to show up... If I can, I will. Is it easy? No.
We know it's not easy. At times, it feels impossible. But the importance of sharing our story outweighs how much it hurts.
When I look back at this time in my life, I want to be CERTAIN that I did everything I could to protect my wife & daughter. I would hope any husband or father would do the same.
That being said, a lot of husbands & fathers seem eerily silent when it comes to the Reproductive Rights of the women they love. I guess other things are more important to them? That's certainly the way it seems.
The women can die, as long as gas prices are cheap!
The women can die, just keep the immigrants out of my community!
The women can die, just don't take my guns!
It's shockingly sad, but true. It's also exactly why the importance of continuing to share our story weighs heavy on my heart.
My daughter is counting on me. I will do everything I can, to protect her. Wouldn't you?
Can your daughter count on you?
Your sister? Your wife?
Or are other things more important?

🎥VIDEO - "Liar!", "Political Propaganda!", "If that really happened NAME THE HOSPITALS!"🤬
My wife bled for 4 days, until her body gave out, after being denied the care she needed on multiple occasions. This is real life in Texas💔💙

Absolute honour to tell the story of Paul Stephenson's amazing life struggling for racial justice in @guardiang2 today. As he says
“You can’t have true racial harmony without racial justice. So, you need to be disruptive.”
