Remember when we first woke in the Cosmodrome, and the Darkness was already closing in?

It circled the Last City like sharks that smelled blood. Hope seemed all but lost as Humanity stood on the very precipice of extinction, and every sign pointed toward an inevitable defeat.

But we found that little light of hope. We fought anyway, against all odds. No matter how dark things got. We fought. We forged ahead. We found our way.

Not because Victory was certain, it never is. But because Guardians don't surrender when the odds turn against them. We stand. We endure. We become the Light when the Darkness threatens to consume everything.

I know things are getting Dark now, Guardian. Darkness is moving in. Things seem bleak. The path ahead is hard to see, and the sharks are swarming us once again

Don't give up.

Be the Light in someone else's Darkness. Keep fighting, even when dawn seems so far away.

The Light returned to us once.

It can again.
