Vice President Sara Duterte said Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. should identify the officials he was referring to after he called on gov't officials defending China over the West Philippine Sea issue to resign from their posts.

“Siguro, para klaro sa lahat ng mga kababayan natin, dapat pangalanan kung sino yung mga officials na tinutukoy niya na nagde-defend sa China over the West Philippine Sea issue kasi hindi pwedeng magbitaw ka ng ganon na salita,” Duterte said in Davao City on Thursday.

Isang caricature lang ay iniyakan na nila — nagfile pa ng diplomatic protest dahil binastos ko raw ang kanilang lider. Ngunit dito, sa video na ito na mahigit isang minuto, ang binabastos at minamaliit ay ang ating pagka-PILIPINO mismo!

Naaalala ko tuloy ang ilang senador na nagsabing kailangan ko raw humingi ng tawad sa China. Ngayon kaya, sasabihin din ba nilang ang China naman ang dapat humingi ng tawad — dahil tayong mga Pilipino mismo ang binababoy ng video na ito?

Mga kababayang Pilipino hindi po tayo UNGGOY, at huwag tayong pumayag na gawing UNGGOY! Ang mga hayop lamang ang mga nakakagawa ng ganitong pagturing sa kapwa tao at mas masahol pa sa hayop ang hindi marunong sumunod sa international law!

‘I WAS SAD TO LEAVE HIM’

Lawyer Nicholas Kaufman says he was sad to leave as counsel of former president Rodrigo Duterte in the crimes against humanity case filed against him before the International Criminal Court.

“I was sad to leave him. It has been a privilege for me to represent the former President. I thank both him and the many thousands of supporters who have shown their appreciation for my efforts on his behalf,” Kaufman said in a message to reporters.

“If my withdrawal is approved, I am convinced that I will be leaving Tatay Digong in safe hands. May God bless the former President, the Duterte family and the Filipino nation. Daghang Salamat!” he added.

Kaufman filed a request to withdraw as Duterte’s counsel, saying a replacement will take over the case.

The Trial Chamber III has yet to act on Kaufman’s request.

In Defense of the World's Bravest Coast Guard 🇵🇭

I have been deeply disappointed—indeed, appalled—to hear of recent attacks on the men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard by certain prominent Filipino politicians. These attacks question the PCG's loyalty, accuse them of provocation, suggest their service should be abolished, or imply its officers are serving foreign interests rather than their nation's. This is not merely unfair, it is a shameful slander of what I believe is demonstrably the world's bravest coast guard.

‘OUR YOUNGEST HERO’ 🥺💗

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center honored baby Aniela, the country’s youngest organ donor, who helped another child gain eyesight.

She was born with anencephaly, a rare condition where a baby’s brain and skull do not fully develop.

“Her mother, Karina, knew from the start that her daughter’s time would be heartbreakingly short lived. Yet, in the midst of unimaginable pain, Karina chose to turn loss into life — by donating Aniela’s eyes to give others the chance to see,” the hospital’s post on Friday read.

Through Aniela’s corneal donation, nine-year-old Nikki, born blind due to congenital glaucoma, now sees the world.
