The reasons for the positions are more important for classifying conservatism. On your last point though, I do believe that social conservatism is the only true conservatism socially.

This is a result of the Whig takeover in British conservatism and the Fusionist takeover in American conservatism. Both are valid, but only strains of conservative thought.

@GaetzTakes It’s not a neo-Marxist movement, it’s just regular old Marxism. More like Marx than Stalin and Lenin, to be accurate. The call for abolishing police looks forward to the “withering of the state” as Marx desired. It also has parallels to Cultural Revolution Maoism.
