WHY ARE CAMP MEETINGS IMPORTANT?

The term “Camp meeting” as we know it today originated in the 1700’s during the Great Awakening revivals in England and America.

It was a period where the spiritual life of many was thin, so traveling preachers organized multi-day outdoor gatherings for worship, preaching, prayer, and conversion. This eventually resulted in the explosion of revival across many cities.

However, the culture of mapping out time for prolonged devotion to God goes as far back as the Bible days. In Acts 2, the disciples spent days waiting on God until the Holy Ghost fell.

Also, we see in Acts 13, certain Teachers and Prophets who ministered to the Lord and fasted, and while they did this, the Holy Ghost gave an instruction for Paul and Barnabas to be ministry partners in the work that God has called them for.

However, following this instruction, they kept praying. This goes to show that they weren’t fasting and praying just to receive an instruction, but for fellowship.

Creating time to spend a protracted period of time in devotion is a biblical practice that mustn’t be lost in our day.

This is why we hold the REBOOT CAMP!

WHY METAMORPHOSIS?
At the end of every year, as a ministry, we gather at our annual camp meeting—REBOOT CAMP, to separate ourselves for spiritual reinvigoration and consecration as we prepare for the new year.

This year's Reboot Camp theme is METAMORPHOSIS, and you might be wondering why.
I’ll tell you.

The english word metamorphosis is derived from the greek word “metamorphoo” which means to transform. This word is used 4 times in the new testament.

The Christian journey ought to be a journey of transformation. You are not meant to be on the same spot spiritually.

The same way when it comes to biology, it is expected that a caterpillar doesn’t forever remain a caterpillar. It ought to metamorphose into a butterfly.

It is the same for spiritual things. God expects you to take off the former version of you, and grow into a newer and better version, suitable for what God wants to do through you.

Hence the writer of Hebrews will say “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.” (Hebs 5:12)

Meaning, there is a level you ought to be functioning at right now.

And this what the Lord is set to do at the Reboot camp.

You will come in weary and leave strong!
You will come in doubting and leave believing!
You will come in timid and leave bold!

How will this happen?
It will happen just like it did to Saul.

The bible says “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. (1 Samuel 10:6)

At the Reboot Camp, the spirit of the Lord will come upon you and you will become a new man!

WHAT IS REBOOT CAMP?

It is the annual retreat of Celebration Church. Just as the name ‘Reboot’ means to “Start up again”, this camp meeting is an annual tradition and strategy for spiritual reinvigoration and consecration.

Every Reboot Camp, we expect to have a R.I.C.H. experience.

‘R’ stands for Rejuvenation
At every reboot camp, we spend prolonged time praying and fellowshipping with the Lord.
You might have been experiencing a drag in your prayer life, but when you come for the Reboot Camp, you will catch fire again.
Even if you're currently doing well, expect to burn even brighter than ever before as we give ourselves to extended hours of prayers and fellowship with the Lord

‘I’ stands for Indoctrination
This year at the Reboot Camp, we will be having six sessions where the word of God will be accurately taught. Every doubt will be cleared, and we will be further instructed and grounded via God's word.

‘C’ stands for Celebrate
At the Reboot Camp, we place an emphasis on celebrating all that Jesus has done for us.
And not just that, at the Reboot Camp, expect to celebrate miracles in their numbers as we will see the power of God on display like never before.

‘H’ stands for Harvest
At Celebration Church International, it is our vision to see “all” men celebrating endless life in Christ Jesus.
Hence, at the Reboot Camp, we see many added to the faith through the teaching of the gospel.
