There are so many weirdos, including the Twitch CEO, downplaying the assault on Emiru with comments like "She should have controlled her community," "It wasn't that bad, she wasn't hurt," or "It wasn't really assault.“

Meet-and-greets with inadequate security are among the most dangerous spots for any public figure. Emiru could have suffered the same fate as Christina Grimmie, who was shot three times in seconds (twice in the chest and once in the head) by an unhinged fan at a poorly secured venue in 2016. It took just moments for her life to end, and I don't think people understand how badly this could have gone.

Twitch must be held accountable, and those responsible for the lax security need to face real consequences.
