This is the first long-form piece I've written in a year:
Why this topic? Because, for starters, 250,000 girls were raped. Unimaginable and appalling though that is—the reality is much worse:
Douglas Murray asks why Mahmood and Starmer lauded the arrest of twelve individuals, linking them to an anti-Muslim 9/11- style plot in Suffolk, but demanded silence about the reasons why Ann Widdecombe was murdered, and by whom.
They clearly wished to bury disturbing and inconvenient news while running away with an invented story about 12 drone enthusiasts who were soon released without charge.
'I have to ask two things. First, it seemed to me when the Suffolk story broke that it was a little too convenient. A prominent anti-open-borders Reform spokeswoman had been beaten to death in her home. Strong sentiments were flowing. And then, as if to remind us that all sides and anyone can do something bad, along comes a ‘far-right extremism, anti-Muslim terror plot’ story, displayed on the BBC’s website alongside updates on the Widdecombe case. Why? And how did the police and the top of government get this so terribly wrong?
The second thing I have to ask...is: what is the difference in prejudicing a fair trial when it comes to the Widdecombe case and when it comes to the Suffolk ‘far-right, Islamophobic, mass-casualty terror event’ that wasn’t? Someone explain it, please?'

Gary Lineker says he wants to pay *more* tax.
That’s funny because three years ago he took Government to court to pay *less* tax on his BBC millions.
Massive hypocrite? Surely not.
Brilliant and excoriating. What a total mess.
“We seem to be moving ever closer to a system in which the government gives every business a score out of ten each year according to how much it likes the business that year, and sets its tax rate that year accordingly.”
EXCLUSIVE: Leaked memo reveals police were told NOT to arrest violent BLM rioters, even for assaulting officers or smashing statues, because it might “trigger” them.
Police also warned about "increased tensions when interacting with the BAME community".

The LARGEST sunscreen-skin cancer study EVER done (n=470,000) found sunscreen users faced dramatically higher risks of ALL major skin cancers:
Invasive melanoma: 292% HIGHER
Melanoma in situ: 258% HIGHER
Basal cell carcinoma: 140% HIGHER
Squamous cell carcinoma: 126% HIGHER
Gary Lineker, a man who fought HMRC like his life depended on it over a £4.9 million IR35 tax bill, is now “proud to stand” with those who want to tax everyone else more.
If a this is an issue so close to your heart Gary, why don’t you make your own donation to the treasury?
Britain’s scorching heatwaves are being driven by cleaner skies after pollution was stripped from the atmosphere, new research suggests.
Spanish researchers and the Met Office have concluded that most of the extra heat experienced in Britain and Europe is linked to the fall in particle emissions in recent decades ⤵️

“The single most serious mistake made by modern democracies is to imagine that criminality can be contained or discouraged by being more considerate to criminals.”

Once upon a time, this was how I commuted to work, for early morning meetings with the Taliban.
Now I just get the Northern Line (and someone from the Taliban is usually on it).
😬 Ed Davey left squirming on Sky News as Sophy Ridge dismantles his fantasy polling claim.
Watch the Lib Dem leader tie himself in knots when pressed on his bold assertion that MRP polls would make him Leader of the Opposition.
Sophy: “You’re not calling for an election now?”
Davey: dodges, then claims “if you look at some of the polls, I’d be leader of the opposition.”
Ridge wasn’t buying it: “What polls?”
Davey mumbles about unspecified “MRP polls… over the last few weeks” that supposedly give the Lib Dems a ton of seats.
When Ridge points out yesterday’s MRP had them in 4th on 12%, Davey flounders: “No, no, I’m talking about seats… where you get the vote share of 12%… er into seats.”
Ridge snaps back: “I know what an MRP poll is. That was an MRP poll.”
Davey ends up admitting he can’t name specifics, just “a lot of MRP polls… giving us an increasing number of seats.”
I felt embarrassed for him 😂
There’s not a single poll on this planet that puts Ed Davey anywhere near official opposition, and he knows it. That’s why he couldn’t name one when Sophy pressed him.
That man lives in his own little world 😂🙃
JK Rowling wrote 'Mein Kampf' under the pseudonym 'Adolf Hitler'. She was able to do this because Richard Dawkins built a time machine for her. For more historical facts like these, please join BlueSky.
