I pull against LSU more than anyone on this app, but people are overreacting to players coming back to college.
They weren’t good enough to make an NFL roster. Who cares if they come back and use the eligibility they have?
I don’t know how y’all can be furious about that but completely fine with the transfer portal + no salary cap. That’s hurting college football WAY more!
“Why are they using that term (pros) so loosely?”
@DesmondHoward says he’s “lightweight offended” that the players from the class of 2022 fighting for another year of eligibility are being called former NFL players. @LSUfootball#LSU
@apacheburner@LonnPhillips Today’s testimony: Greg Sankey said players who leave and turn pro shouldn’t return to college sports. He did not limit that to signing a contract and could not define “professional athlete.”
@apacheburner@LonnPhillips Ethan Sanchez did not enter the NFL Draft. Cole Hutson, now back at Texas, did. Braxton Fely, now at Oklahoma, did as well. There are others too. It’s an interesting situation.
