Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi said he paid ₦400 million toward a ₦600 million deal for the appointment (to become DG) and that Gbajabiamila demanded 48% of the agency’s take off grant.
I don't even know if I should laugh or cry at this point.
@Kembox Don’t make such presumption. I’m not here for that. The topic has nothing to do with the name you mentioned. I only gave you an analogy and I didn’t mention any name.
@christ4moi@Kembox It was in the news👇. I know I read it at the time. Do you think the judge would have allowed him to make that claim repeatedly if it didn’t happen?

@Kembox A judge disobeys her own order, then tells you not to contest before, that you must appeal.
Meanwhile, you’re reluctant to appeal the existing order. You prefer to disobey it, by reason of one administrative memo.
That’s the problem with Nigeria.
The comments here show the reason Nigeria is not making progress.
This man is stating how the rule of is being subverted by judges and senior lawyers. But Nigerians expect him to be crying and begging the same people who are standing the law on its head. SMH
@Kembox That’s exactly what they expect him to do. That’s the plan. It is exactly what an average politician would do- rig the election and ask you to go to court.
Do you not see anything wrong in what the judge did?
@christ4moi@Kembox And it is disingenuous for anyone to focus on his conduct while conveniently ignoring the illegality that pushed him to raise his voice.
@christ4moi@Kembox That judge is far more knowledgeable on contempt proceedings than any of us. Yes, could have charged him for contempt but she knows she messed up already by attempting to sit over the case. She’s mindful of her own error.
@Kembox You and I know that know lawyer can speak to a judge like that. And speaking like that is the reason the case was adjourned indefinitely. The alternative would have been to adjourn for indefinite trial. That’s the application the SAN made. They ignored the law.
Some of you are asking “what are his lawyers doing?”
No lawyer in Nigeria can speak the truth/law to a judge in this manner.
Judges behave like gods. Most lawyers tremble before them. That’s why a CJ will send memo to a judge to sit over a case she had recused herself from.
@Kembox@christ4moi One of the 2 pillars of fair hearing is that nobody can be a judge in their own cause. The judge was accused of bias. She, by order, removed herself from the case. She’s like an interested party. Year 2 law students know that she has know business entertaining that case again …
@Kembox@christ4moi An accused quotes extant provisions of the law and you call it playing to the gallery?
There’s a reason the Judge didn’t order that he be arraigned for contempt. There’s guilt in that silence. They know he’s saying the law as it is.
@Kembox@christ4moi except if that order has been vacated.
The SAN didn’t address the issue; he was talking about “insult”. Most ignorant people on X are not addressing the issue. And you ? You’re not addressing the issue either.
