“The memorial before us is powerful because it sets the truth in stone and protects it from the heartlessness of time by instructing the living. It's not a validation because none is needed”
Watch President Kagame's speech delivered during the unveiling of a memorial honoring the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, in Paris today.

“Confronting historical responsibilities requires real courage, because it generates fierce opposition by those with a case to answer. You need a strong sense of humanity to see it through. President Macron, I want to commend you on both counts: courage and humanity.
You acknowledged that France could have stopped the genocide, but did not. In response, I described your words as something more valuable than an apology: namely, the truth. This door was first opened by President Nicolas Sarkozy, and I wish to commend him today.
The Genocide against the Tutsi was foreseeable, and in fact foreseen, and France was in a unique position to observe and to act. It took too long for France to come to terms with its role, causing additional pain. And on some points, we still have not found consensus. I fully understand the feelings of those survivors and advocates, who remain dissatisfied with the official record. But I believe that our common work has initiated a journey towards truth, which is irreversible.
And France was not alone in falling short, far from it. Many other countries did so as well, but none has gone as far as France in setting the record straight and accepting its part in the tragedy.” President Kagame | Inauguration of Monument in Paris honouring the victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.
You don’t have to be Rwandan to respect what the RSSB Tigers are doing. From BAL debutants straight to the FINALS! Craig Randall is a human cheat code, Ballo dominating the glass, and Coach Mwinuka has them playing elite team basketball.
Oh and the electric crowd behind them. Waw
I love stories such as Bouba’s! A young Senegalese basketball fan, who came to Kigali for @theBAL games, fell in love with the country and decided to invest. He’s the proud owner of #Greenride, an e-transport company that is also the official transport partner of #BAL Season 6.
The biggest branding winner in the @ChampionsLeague this year isn’t a club.
It’s @visitrwanda_now.
Atleti. PSG. Arsenal.
All in the semifinals. All wearing the same sponsor.
That’s a masterclass in global brand placement. 🇷🇼
Proud to see three #VisitRwanda partners qualifying for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals! The performances of @Atleti, @Arsenal and @PSG_inside have shown consistency, excellence and resolve, and we look forward to the games ahead!
It's all well and good to issue yet another joint peace memo by US, Congo, and Rwanda on efforts to end conflict in DRC. But it all comes down to Congo disarming the FDLR - an existential threat to Rwanda. I seriously doubt that they can or will.

The @RwandaMoD delegation led by Brig. Gen. Stanislas Gashugi, RDF Special Operations Force Commander, attended @DIMDEXQatar 2026. Held under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the exhibition highlighted defence innovation and future security solutions.
Today at Général Lansana Conté Stadium in Conakry, President Kagame attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Mamadi Doumbouya of Guinea @presi_doumbouya. Rwanda and Guinea have strong and productive relations across multiple sectors, aimed at advancing shared prosperity for both nations.
Congratulations to my brother, President Mamadi Doumbouya @presi_doumbouya, on his election as President of the Republic of Guinea. We look forward to deepening our strong bilateral relations and working closely together to advance our shared priorities and the prosperity of our nations.
🔴 🚨 Alarming: French media outlet #RFI has provided a platform for the genocidal FDLR movement to spread propaganda. While claiming to protect Rwandan refugees in Congo, they have instead used them as human shields and taken them hostage. This year alone, UNHCR has facilitated the voluntary return of more than 5,000 Rwandans, with many testifying that the FDLR had obstructed their return in the past. #Rwanda #DRC #FDLR
