🇺🇸🇪🇺 The Trump administration is offering grants of up to $3 million to European activist groups promoting free speech and opposing online censorship, with funding aimed at organisations challenging laws such as the EU’s Digital Services Act and the UK’s Online Safety Act.

The initiative also backs groups critical of mass immigration policies, framing the effort as part of a broader effort to strengthen free expression and “civilizational self-confidence” across Europe.

Brussels is now trying to ban the demonstration tomorrow that is in support of the Save Europe Act.

The demonstration was scheduled because the European Parliament has stated they won’t even consider the act once it arrives at 1,000,000 signatures.

Über 500.000 Bürger unterstützen den Save Europe Act. Doch heute wurde stundenlang versucht zu verhindern, dass ihre Unterschriften im Europäischen Parlament übergeben werden können.

Die Teilnehmer wurden vor dem Parlament blockiert, wegbegleitet und daran gehindert, die gesammelten Unterschriften offiziell abzugeben.

Ein beschämendes Schauspiel und ein Armutszeugnis für die Demokratie. Einen Teil der Unterschriften konnte ich dennoch entgegennehmen und ins Parlament bringen. Der Wille von mehr als einer halben Million Bürger lässt sich nicht einfach aussperren.

The Mayor of Brussels has banned our protest, announcing the decision just one day before the event.

If the democratic right to protest exists only by the permission of those you’re protesting against, then it isn’t a real right at all.
