๐ฟ The EYC enjoyed a sensory walk collecting natural treasures for our mud kitchen play! We found wild garlic, bluebells, buttercups & sticky willy. One eagle-eyed wee one spotted a bat box too, sparking chats about nocturnal animals ๐ฆ We canโt wait to see tomorrowโs creations!
Lovely intergenerational learning ๐ Children and the ladies worked together weaving Easter eggs and colourful shapes, while sharing stories, drawings, and lots of smiles.

We have had a brilliant day out at Glasgow Science Centre! ๐งช๐งซ ๐ฌ Primary 7/6 had lots of fun at the Electric Detective workshop, and exploring all of the fun experiments that they had on offer on each floor! ๐
How are you meeting the needs of your highly able learners? Our Adaptive Teaching session this afternoon focused on highly able learners. We discussed how we identify them, how we plan our lessons to challenge these learners and shared strategies we could use to help us.
P7/6 had a brilliant WBD! ๐ We started off the day by joining โThe Great Big Footy and Booky Quizโ! We then started writing our own rap songs, inspired by MC Grammar, on some of our favourite books! ๐ง๐ถ Our families joined us for some literacy activities and got very creative!

Our final morning at Lockerbie Manor! This morning we packed our bags, had breakfast and then participated in Jacobโs ladder, fencing and rifle shooting. We then had our lunch and headed back home to Dailly. ๐๐ Lots of fantastic memories made over the last few days. ๐
Yesterday we participated in crate staking, axe throwing, raft building and the climbing wall. ๐คฉ All pupils embraced the weather and showed excellent teamwork skills. We then spent the evening abseiling in the dark! ๐
We had a brilliant first day travelling to Lockerbie Manor. ๐คฉ We stopped at Dumfries and went to the park. We then settled into our pods, participated in orienteering across the grounds of Lockerbie Manor. We had a fun night rifle shooting and fencing! ๐๐๐

This afternoon, P7/6 invited our visitor, Zoe from SAMH, into our class for an โUnderstanding and Managing Stress and Anxietyโ workshop. We explored various mental health topics and tackled the stigma surrounding mental health. ๐ง We know that it is brave to ask for help. ๐๐ผ
This afternoon @DaillyPrimary, @ColmonellPSEYC and @BallantraePS_EY shared and celebrated their Adaptive Teaching journey so far. Effective adaptations and great learner consultation evident ๐
Primary 7/6 had a brilliant ACE day today - we went to Mauchline and did abseiling and archery! ๐ Well done to all pupils who pushed themself out of their comfort zone. A super achievement! ๐ฉต
