In this life we may go through some difficulties. We may despair but we are never forsaken, because God is always with us. Our afflictions cannot be compared with the glory that would be revealed in us when we see God face to face.

Our ministry is seven years old now and we're grateful to God for the journey we have travelled from May 2019 when we started the Floodlightdaily blog, and where he has brought us to. Ebenezer, may His name be praised.

As we start this new month, let's remind ourselves that God remains faithful to His Word. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Amen. Happy new month to you!

Galatians 5:1 NIV
[1] It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
We have been saved from sin, let's cherish this liberty and not bring ourselves under it's slavery.

The good news about Easter includes the truth that Christ died for us and rose again so that we will not be slaves to sin but instead live for righteousness.
A blessed weekend to you from the Floodlightdaily ministry.

Have you ever felt that you put more effort into achieving the vision of others, than you did in making your own goals come true? This year, let's determine to show up for ourselves, even as we do the same for others.

Growing up there was a popular song that said " if you know you love somebody, you've got to let them know about it'. God has expressed his love for us by sending his son to die for us. The way to reciprocate this is to accept his gift of salvation.

Love in marriage or courtship is much more than a mere feeling. It's an unwavering commitment to an imperfect person. A blessed weekend and week ahead to you from the Floodlight daily ministry.

This verse was said in mockery by the leaders of Isaiah's time. However it shows us the simplicity of God's Word and how it sometimes appears stupid when contrasted with worldly wisdom . God's teachings though simple, revive the soul

What do you do when you wake up? Do you immediately tumble out of bed and stumble through the rest of the day or you take a few minutes to pray, thank God for another day and commit the day's activities into His hands?

The euphoria that surrounds the start of the year, will soon fade into disappointment unless we change old habits and principles that did not yield positive results last year. We can't do things the same old way and expect different outcomes
@Marmah_Ish@AfroBloggers
This is one of the most exciting verses in the Bible. It reminds us that when we come to Christ, He starts us off on a fresh page. He erases the written record against us with His blood. Hallelujah

The person you married may change over the years in terms of their likes, dislikes or even physique. It's good to be a student of your partner for life. Notice their new likes and dislikes. Compliment and celebrate them on improvements and accomplishments

Many of us set goals at the beginning of the year. For us to achieve these goals, we need to take those baby steps that may appear insignificant at first. But consistency with these will lead us towards the realisation of the big picture.

Faith is the currency in the Kingdom of God. Doubt or unbelief whittles away our faith. Fear also has a similar effect on our faith.This is what happened when Peter was walking on the water and then began to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus (Matt 14: 22 - 33).
@Marmah_Ish
The fact that God hears us is inextricably linked to the fact that he will answer. But the truth is that God doesn't always answer with a yes. Scripture gives evidence to this. God exercises his sovereignty and wisdom in answering our prayer, just as parents exercise discretion.
Deeply rooted in prayer is the conviction that God hears us, and that is what this verse reminds us off. First we look to Him and then we wait for His salvation.
