Rewatched the Endgame elevator scene and I still can’t let this go.
Howard tells Tony his wife is expecting. Tony doesn’t smile. He doesn’t get emotional first. He looks confused… then immediately asks “how far along is she?”
Tony knows his own birthday. He picked that year on purpose. So why does the math suddenly look like it doesn’t add up to him?
Was it just the shock of standing next to his dad? Or did Tony clock something off about the timeline?

Tobey Maguire was once asked about one of the biggest controversies surrounding Spider-Man: the decision to give Peter Parker organic webbing.

Comic book fans were furious, arguing that removing Peter’s mechanical web-shooters took away a key part of his identity as a brilliant inventor.

Instead, Peter Parker is famously broke- constantly struggling to pay rent while selling photos of Spider-Man to the Daily Bugle just to get by.

From that perspective, organic webbing suddenly makes a lot more sense..

Maybe Tony wasn't confused about the math........

Maybe he realized something was wrong with the timeline itself, and if Doomsday is about timelines collapsing, what if Tony's confusion was the first hint that Tony Stark's existence doesn't fit neatly into the timeline anymore?

What if the Time Heist didn't just change history…

What if it created the version of reality Doom is now trying to fix?

I still don’t get how Tony convinced Peter to fight Captain America. Peter literally grew up seeing Cap as a legendary hero.

What did he tell Peter?

Strange said he’d let Tony die before giving up the Time Stone.

Then Tony’s on the ground on Titan and Strange just hands it over.

Later he holds up one finger.

So was the “1” only Tony snapping in Endgame?

Or did Strange see a future that required Tony to lose first… and everything after that?

Because if he saw the whole board, that wasn’t a sacrifice. That was a setup.

It lets him hang. That’s the point of the scene. Not that Cap out-stats the guy who beat Hulk barehanded.

Strange already saw the version where they stall. It isn’t the 1. Handing over the Stone is the ugly path that still wins.
