Again in all honesty - I do not understand the craze of some ENVtubers over wanting to show their irl face when they have never done so before becoming a Vtuber.

To me its one of the age-old taboos that formed alongside Vtubing.

Again call me extremely old fashioned but can you really meaningfully call yourself a “Vtuber” after that? Or have you just turned into a “Streamer who often uses a Virtual Avatar”?

Sure, showing your face might give you a clout boost for awhile - what is the price for that clout boost?

You anonymity GONE, your face freely available on the internet for anyone and everyone to access for better or worse. If there are dangerously obsessive people on the internet…even the slightest hint on your photos is enough to pinpoint where you live, who you are and who your family is.

Remember Shia Labeouf’s HWNDU flags? Minimal information, and look what happened every time he relocated the flag?

If any ENVtubers genuine believe that showing their face is a great cloutfarming decision (face it, its nothing more than to farm clout), I ask you to just spend a few days at least, think it over, think what me and a few other Vtubers are warning you about.

There are no takebacks, no refunds after its done.

This is why I've quit almost all live service games. Most that I am asked to play I look at and see that it is focused on just getting me to maintain a number. I'm sure there are exceptions and there are still live service games I want to play, but in general I don't touch 'em.
