I temporarily forgot about auto vacuum problems i had on a postgres db years ago. Space filling up because autovacuum kept being interrupted due to high change on a table... I'll have nightmares now i remembered

I find mysql explain plans a lot less readable than any others I've worked with previously. postgres, oracle etc...

I am also noticing a lot more nuances relating to index usage and subquery performance too.

I dont yearn for the days of orqcle but perhaps postgres...

Code reviews: I regularly have to remind myself that I've been doing some things for 20+ years and they come as second nature. Sometimes I just look at some code and know it's not the best idea, even without knowing exactly that the dev is trying to do. How do others handle this?
