One of the most important skills in trading is being able to control your emotions after taking a loss / breakeven (especially when you think it’s ’undeserved’)
The ability to accept what’s happened and move on without any emotional impact to your future trades is incredibly important
A common thing that happens is people (including me) stay on the charts and try to get revenge
That includes sitting on the LTFs and gambling until the account is blown, over risking / under risking on the next trades, taking random setups that don’t follow your model or even breaking a simple entry rule
You can be making 30R+ a month, but if you can’t control those emotions on 1 day out of the entire month, then you can say goodbye to your accounts / progress you’ve made for the month
I truly believe that mastering this would make majority of traders profitable
In the moment, it feels like absolute hell. But once you let your emotions settle, you’ll be incredibly happy with yourself that you didn’t do anything stupid
$ES (+3.1R)
Got too trigger happy with the entry and it nearly cost me. Very clean trade apart from that
