To the #Browns fans that are hoping to see Shedeur Sanders flop tomorrow I say this:
Right now there isn’t any outcome more beneficial to this organization than Sanders or DG proving themselves as a guy this team can move forward with.
Gabriel already proved he’s not that future guy - Sanders remains to be seen.
Regardless of how you feel about him or his family or the narrative that overhangs all of this, it’s a fact that if CLE can hit on a QB in the middle rounds they are much better positioned to turn this thing around quickly.
Rather than having to use a first rounder at the top of the draft on a QB you can surround Sanders with premier talent and help fast track this retooling period.
Whether you like him or not, it is the best case scenario for this team that he goes out there, plays great and proves to the #Browns and NFL that he can be a legitimate guy in this league.
@JonHeyman “So you claim you don’t have money to spend in the offseason?”
“Yes, Dave”
“And you just invested $4M plus in a 33 year old backup catcher <checks notes> who last season batted .161 with 10 RBI and has a negative career WAR of -2.1.”
“That’s correct, Dave”
