President Xi Jinping has always attached great importance to ecological conservation. Following in his footsteps across China, let's explore his vision of harmony between humanity and nature. (6)
On May 22, 2024, Xi visited a coastal greenway in Rizhao, #Shandong province during his inspection tour, where he was briefed on the overall construction of the greenway and inspected the restored coastline.
While walking along the greenway, Xi talked with residents and tourists enjoying the seaside. Speaking with a newlywed couple, he said, "This place is a good location for wedding photos. The scenery is beautiful."
"A better environment brings a real sense of happiness to the residents," Xi said, stressing that modernization is about making people's lives better.
Xi noted that the construction of the greenway meets residents' need and is a popular project, and urged local people to work together in building and protecting their beautiful homeland.

Last week, I was proud to welcome New Yorkers as they moved into their new apartments at Willets Point in Queens — the city’s largest affordable housing project in forty years.
Earlier that day, I met residents whose NYCHA homes in Brooklyn will finally receive the repairs and renovations they deserve through the Public Housing Preservation Trust.
We're building the affordable homes our city needs, preserving the affordable homes we already have, and investing in public housing in every borough so that working people can continue to call this city home.
