Levko Kolodub âSolemn overtureâ
The motivation to create this album, UKRAINIAN MIXTAPE with the @BBCSO, was born both from my personal history - as someone with deep roots in the countryâs culture, and from this current moment in history.

Russia is very likely to use the ceasefire and press tour in Oleshky for propagandaâïž
They will try to shift the blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine, whitewash their war crimes, and leverage NewsMax's presence to legitimize their narrative on the international stage.
âIn today's interview, President Zelenskyy warned: "The Russians must demine the roads. Undoubtedly, Russia will do everything to demine the roads in such a way that these people move toward Russia and remain there. After all, they won't agree to just let the people go."
âIndeed, controlled demining is one way to force people onto Russian-held territory while painting themselves as saviors.
âEarlier this month, on October 7, the Security Service of Ukraine issued its own warning about planned Russian propaganda campaigns:
â"According to operational data, servicemen from one of the occupying units have been ordered to prepare a series of âcompromisingâ interviews with the residents of the occupied town. In these videos, local residents are required to accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces of constant shelling and the blockade of the town; discredit the decisions of Ukraineâs military and political leadership; and express a positive attitude and gratitude towards the military of the aggressor state."
âRussia has a long history of using controlled press tours to craft propaganda in carefully staged settings.
âIn reality, the disaster in Oleshky is the direct result of a Russian blockade. Russian forces have been using civilians as human shields for drone operator units stationed in the town that continue to bomb Kherson across the river.
âSeveral videos online show Ukrainian troops attempting to deliver humanitarian aid via drones, precisely because Russian forces have blocked access to Oleshky for months.
âI call on the international community, especially journalists and editors, to remain vigilant. Russia can and will try to exploit this situation for propaganda, just as they have repeatedly created and exploited humanitarian disasters in the past.
What âpoor Russian conscriptsâ is he talking about? The Russian soldiers fighting against Ukraine serve under official contracts and are paid for it. Their salaries are funded in part by the extra money Putin is receiving as a result of Trumpâs recent decisions to waive some of the sanctions on Russia.
And now, something very important.
Russia pretends to be âgreat,â yet it is a very poor country. Its entire economy is comparable in size to that of the U.S. state of Texas. Millions of Russians live in economically depressed regions. For them, signing a contract with the Russian army is often the only realistic path to social advancement, because it lets them earn the kind of money they could only have dreamed of in their impoverished home regions.
The families of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine are perfectly satisfied. They receive sums of money that their husbands or sons could never have earned, even if they had worked for the rest of their lives.
Thatâs why our Russian human rights colleagues call this kind of economy a ânecronomy,â meaning a âdeath economy.â Russia sells death. Literally.
Yes, this bloody war must be stopped. And to stop it, we must make the cost of war for Putin higher than the cost of peace.
So if Musk truly cares about the lives of Russian soldiers, America must break the Russian necronomyâs ability to fuel this bloody war. But the Trump administration has done exactly the opposite. America has begun to finance it.
I am attaching to this post just a few examples of Russian state advertising, showing the amounts in rubles for which âRussian kidsâ go to kill Ukrainians.
The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's.
What an absolutely insane foreign policy.
The great Oleksandra Matviichuk is absolutely right to draw attention to the horrible humanitarian crisis in Oleshky. All Putin, Witkoff, and Kushner can do is invert and traduce the meaning of âhumanitarianism,â in the best traditions of Russian propaganda. For the Americans the war is just an element of a grift; they are, sadly, not negotiators in any sense, just men seeking to make more money from the bloodshed their actions enable.
VenÀjÀ tappaa ukrainalaisia. Samaan aikaan sille avataan takaovea kansainvÀliseen urheiluun. Neutraali lippu ei pese hyökkÀyssodan veritahroja.
Lipsuminen on pysÀytettÀvÀ. Suomen ja EU:n on vedettÀvÀ ehdoton raja: ei venÀlÀisurheilijoita kilpailuihin. Ei mitÀÀn erivapauksia.
Musk wants everyone to feel bad for the Russians in Ukraine, and likely doesn't know or care that 90% of Russian soldiers are in Ukraine joined voluntarily by lure of the $4200/month, NOT conscripts.
No seriously, is there really that much money to be made from monetization and engagement farming on here that itâs worth exposing yourself as such a brain-dead piece of shit every single day?
Today, another Russian smear campaign is trying to pretend that Ukraine, or Zelenskyy personally, rejected a good "peace deal" in Istanbul in 2022.
âThe "peace plan" in question included strict limitations on the Ukrainian armed forces, rendering them harmless and defenseless. No alliances were allowed. It also included security guarantees, but with a funny kicker: Russia demanded that triggering these security guarantees required the unanimous agreement of all guarantor states, including Russia itself.
âIn other words, Ukraine was supposed to disarm almost completely, after which Russia could attack again and just block Ukraine from receiving any military aid. Comfy, right?
âThe "peace deal" proposed in Istanbul was, in fact, a "disarm and let Russia slaughter us" deal. The full details are public by now. Research it yourself and don't fall for the propaganda.
This is demonstrably true. Previously, each Vatnik Soup thread received between 300k and 5M impressions. Now, we're lucky if we get 100k.
Our annual views have dropped from 700M to 280M. Posts about Ukraine shared by accounts with millions of followers barely get any traction, whereas our more generic posts about AI, for example, can get millions of views.
Ukraine is still one of the hottest topics on this platform, yet voices supporting the country are being throttled, just like Starlink/Starshield was.
âŒïžKremlin aide Ushakov just confirmed what was widely believed, the US agreed to force Ukraine to capitulate:
"Before, it seemed after Anchorage, that the U.S. administration might be able to dictate something and force Kyiv to comply. But so far, this hasn't really worked out"
Once again, I live in Ukraine, and I have never met a soldier or a civilian who is fighting for Zelenskyy.
âUkrainians resist because our country was invaded, because russian occupation means kidnapped children, executed civilians, torture chambers, mass graves, rape, and looting. Our soldiers defend their families, their culture, their civilians, and their future, not the president.
Well, yeah.
Canât defeat Ukraine on the battlefield? Go try to defeat it with the propaganda garbage spewed by armies of social media bots, crude AI-generated fakes, and smear campaigns waged by useful idiots in the West.
