Dallas was honored to be one of only sixteen cities nationwide selected to participate in the inaugural coast-to-coast Final Leg Run, helping carry the flame across the country in support of the athletes and the spirit of inclusion.
The run began at Klyde Warren Park and traveled through the streets of downtown Dallas before concluding with a celebratory event featuring a ceremonial presentation, live entertainment, and community festivities honoring the athletes and the Special Olympics movement.
The Dallas Police Department knows that having a family support system is such an important part of an officerโs life. Tonight, the department held Family Night for Recruit Class #413. Chief Comeaux and his command staff met the new recruits' families, answered questions, and told them about the important journey their loved ones are about to embark on.
