I had the privilege of sharing at the Local Government Indaba, where mayors and city managers from all 257 municipalities gathered, together with our CoGTA Minister, Honorable Hlabisa, Deputy Minister Masemola, and the MECs from all nine provinces.
Over the two full days, my heart was deeply inspired by the commitment and resolve I witnessed — a determination to make a real difference. We are blessed with gifted people in this nation, capable of turning things around.
In my address, I challenged leaders to first recognize that they are called by God, and therefore accountable to His purpose — and that purpose is serving the people. Lasting change begins with the heart: changed hearts change systems. Regardless of governance philosophy — communist, socialist, or capitalist — greed remains greed. The heart, when wicked, will corrupt the best of systems and, when righteous, will improve the worst. Each day we must examine our own hearts, dying to selfish ambition, and living for the empowerment of others.
God has a plan for our great nation. Let us hold faith for the future, faith in our beautiful country South Africa, and faith in all our people.
God bless Africa! Nkosi sikelel’ iAfrika!

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”
