BROKEN HOME-UNBROKEN SPIRIT
#Chapter One
The Day the Rain Wouldn't Stop (Part 1)
The rain started before sunrise.
It wasn't a heavy storm. It fell softly but didn't stop. Tiny drops tapped on the old zinc roof of the small apartment where twelve-year-old Daniel lived with his mother and father.
Daniel usually loved rainy mornings.
They gave him a reason to stay under his old blanket a little longer. His mother would make hot tea, and his father would laugh and say the rain was trying to stop everyone from going to work.
Those mornings felt warm.
They felt safe.
But this morning was different.
Daniel opened his eyes and looked at the cracked ceiling above his bed.
Something didn't feel right.
The house was too quiet.
There was no music from the radio.
No smell of breakfast.
No humming from his mother in the kitchen.
Only silence.
A silence that made his heart beat faster.
He got out of bed and opened his bedroom door.
His mother was sitting on the old brown sofa with a cup of tea in her hands.
The tea had gone cold.
She wasn't drinking it.
Her eyes were red and swollen, as if she had been crying all night.
"Dad hasn't gone to work?" Daniel asked.
She forced a small smile.
"He's still in the bedroom."
Daniel nodded, but her smile didn't look real.
As he walked into the kitchen, he heard his father's voice.
"I told you I'm trying!"
His mother's voice came back louder.
"Trying? You've been saying that for months!"
Daniel froze.
His parents had argued before.
At first, it happened once in a while.
Now it happened almost every day.
He quietly put down his glass of water and walked back toward his room.
He didn't want them to know he was listening.
He sat on the floor beside his bedroom door.
He wasn't trying to spy.
He only wanted to know when the fighting would end.
"I'm tired, James," his mother said.
"So am I."
"I'm tired of pretending everything is okay."
"It will get better."
"When?"
Silence.
Daniel hated that silence.
It always came before something painful.
Then his father spoke.
"I don't think we're happy anymore."
Daniel's heart pounded.
His mother laughed softly, but it sounded more like crying.
"So that's it?"
"I've already spoken to a lawyer."
Daniel felt tears fill his eyes.
A lawyer?
"I think divorce is the only way."
The word hit him like a heavy stone.
Divorce.
He had heard about it from other children at school.
Some lived with only one parent.
Some saw their fathers only on weekends.
He never thought it would happen to his family.
His mother asked quietly,
"What about Daniel?"
"I'll always be his father."
"Being a father is more than saying those words."
Daniel couldn't stay hidden anymore.
He walked into the living room.
His parents stopped arguing the moment they saw him.
His mother's face was covered with tears.
His father looked tired and broken.
Daniel looked at both of them.
"Are you... getting divorced?"
No one answered.
Their silence told him everything.
His voice shook.
"But... why?"
His father walked closer.
"This isn't because of you."
"Then don't leave."
"I wish it were that easy."
Daniel couldn't stop crying.
"I'll be quieter."
His parents looked at each other.
"I'll study harder."
His father closed his eyes.
"I won't ask for toys anymore."
His mother covered her mouth.
"I promise I'll be a good boy."
His father hugged him tightly.
"You've always been a good boy."
"Then why isn't that enough?"
No one had an answer.
That afternoon, James packed a small travel bag.
Every sound of the zipper felt loud.
Daniel stood in the hallway and watched.
His father picked up an old family photo.
It showed the three of them smiling at the beach.
Back then, everything felt perfect.
James put the picture back on the shelf.
Then he walked to the front door.
"I love you, Daniel."
Daniel wanted to say it back.
Instead, he asked,
"Are you coming home tomorrow?"
His father looked down.
"I... don't know."
Hey guys….

GM AE! GIỮ TÂM LÝ VỮNG VÀNG CHO NGÀY MỚI
Sáng nay thức dậy pha ly cà phê, mình thấy tâm trí thoải mái giữa thị trường biến động.
Chậm lại để đi xa hơn
Thay vì vội kiểm tra bảng điện, mình chọn bắt đầu ngày mới thật tỉnh táo. Năng lượng và sức khỏe mới giúp ae đi đường dài.
Tập trung từng việc nhỏ
Hôm nay mình chỉ tập trung hoàn thành tốt công việc và bảo vệ năng lượng.
Chúc ae ngày mới vững vàng và hiệu quả nha! Sáng nay ae thế nào rồi?
Daniel felt his heart break.
James opened the door.
The cool air rushed inside.
The rain was still falling.
Without another word, he walked away.
The door closed softly.
But to Daniel, it sounded louder than thunder.
He stood there, staring at the closed door.
He hoped it would open again.
It didn't.
Behind him, his mother fell to the floor and cried.
Daniel walked over and hugged her.
Neither of them spoke.
That night, dinner stayed on the table untouched.
The lights stayed off.
Daniel lay awake, listening to his mother's quiet crying through the wall.
He looked into the darkness and wondered,
If my parents could stop loving each other... could anyone's love really last forever?
Hey guys….

@LamiCugg If the reports are accurate, both adults share equal responsibility in a situation that carries serious emotional consequences for everyone involved.
