🚨NEWS: I spoke with Trump by phone earlier today: we discussed the upcoming royal visit, whether Sir Keir Starmer can recover following strained US-UK relations over the last 2 months of war with Iran, and what his social media threats against Iran really mean. 🧵👇
@MikScarlet "there is a real sense that the goalposts have moved and that the people they used to think of as disabled have been joined by lesser deserving ones now. And the tabloids whip that up rather a lot.
Emergency episode!

@BBCCambsSport very frustrating as a Charlton fan the we can't listen to this commentary from your radio station online. I'm in LONDON, Surely the broadcast rights spread to the whole of England and not just your transmitter area on FM?
@BendyGirl@lisybabe Awww Lisa. So sorry to hear this. She came on Ouch's podcast a few times too and turned her hand to standup comedy for a little while. RIP.
@ConnorScottG@Uber This doesn't sound at all good if it happened in this way. I've taken 8 Uber drivers to court across two years for refusing me and my guide dog. On each occasion the driver was sacked from Uber the day I reported the incident. I was always surprised they did this before the trial
Anyone know how to get hold of a tactile accessible version of the board game Go that blind people can play? Much appreciated. I'm in London, UK and have had no luck finding it locally so am reaching out far! . #blind#igo#baduk#GoCommunity#GoPlayers
@ConnorScottG Make sure the head of the company knows about this, it could be a rogue HR person depending on the size of the company perhaps. Samantha Fothergill at RNIB is your legal person u should talk to. But I'm with Jamie, don't work for them, but do try to get justice.
https://t.co/F1tdxF1d36 There are very many who would simply like us to disappear. I don't know whether to be very angry or deeply sad. A bit of both perhaps.
@emilynussbaum How about A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris De Burgh - that famous Christmas favourite. In every chorus he sings about a song filling the air 'and it went la lah la la' etc. So we hear Chris's attempt at the angels song, but it doesn't exist outside of the song.
@ConnorScottG Connor, I don't know what your plans are but if you intend to make this a source of income, I'm aware of blind people out there who use Access To Work to employ people who can assist.

Today, at 2pm, when the UK government stands before the UN following years of violating the Rights of Disabled People. Follow #CRDP24 and watch online from 2pm UK time as they try to wriggle out of their responsibilities and make claims we know are not true
The treatment of disabled people should not be based on a cost-benefit analysis.
The cost of denying disabled people access, accommodation, equity and injustice in every aspect of life is immeasurable.
