At 28 years old, a young man decided to walk 25 miles in a single day. Not for exercise. He was walking the length of his district, stopping along the way to talk to people and hear what was happening in their lives.
By the time he was halfway through, something was very wrong. He was exhausted, nauseated and vomiting. But he kept walking.
He finished the 25 miles and went home. Then he slept for 36 hours. His parents, alarmed by this, took him to the emergency room where they found out his blood sugar was 900.
The young man had undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes and was in diabetic ketoacidosis, a life-threatening condition that can lead to coma and death without treatment. He was then rushed to the ICU.
But thankfully, that young man survived, and story doesn’t end there.
Once he was able to leave the hospital, he needed regular insulin to stay alive. His first 30-day supply cost $684. Young men his age don’t carry that kind of money. So he put it on a credit card.
And that experience changed the direction of James Talarico’s young life.
Since then, James has been fighting for people who need insulin and other lifesaving medications in order to live, and pushing for legislation to make those drugs more affordable.
Working for the people, not Big Pharma. James Talarico is who Texas needs.
Every time Musk pretends to be a self-made billionaire, remember. He‘d be worth $0 without $38 billion in corporate welfare. In 19 out of 20 years, Tesla paid $0 in federal income taxes by shifting $18 billion in profits offshore.
Elon loves socialism for himself, not for you.
BREAKING: Even more leaked audio of a secret Ken Paxton meeting just revealed him advocating for cutting Social Security and Medicare — while laughing with lobbyists about cutting their taxes. This guy is genuinely evil.
Ken Paxton plans to cut Social Security and Medicare.
He’s telling seniors to “suck it up” while he owns 15 homes and increases his net worth up to $27 million.
Ken Paxton doesn’t serve us. He serves himself.
BREAKING: @WillieNelson endorses James Talarico:
“I've gotten to know James Talarico. He's a good man, who will be a good senator for the state of Texas. Please vote and vote for James Talarico.“
I can’t believe we have to say this, but the annihilation of two major American cities — more than 5 million people — is not a “small price to pay” for Trump's illegal war.
Neither are the 19 American troops and 3,000+ Iranians who lost their lives.
Our president is unhinged.
This should outrage every American. This is the president of the United States telling Iran to bomb American cities. I live in Los Angeles, but that’s beside the point. Tommorow it could be your city.
My fellow Americans, this is not normal. This is not funny. This behavior should ring alarm bells for us all!
Let’s be clear: The President is advocating for an attack on 10+ million U.S. residents in two of America’s largest cities.
This is not normal. None of this is.
And we will continue to remind folks of that every day.
Simon Andriesz, the British banker who uncovered 2018 emails linking Howard Lutnick to Jeffrey Epstein’s Adfin investment and took them to House Oversight, has died at age 57. BBC reported his findings. Lutnick later admitted to visiting the island but not the business dealings.
Meanwhile....MAGA youth pastor Zachary Radcliff and featured singer at CPAC, now faces 60 charges sex crimes against children.
When I tell you it's all of them, it's ALL of them.
Musk spent over $290 million to put Trump in the White House.
He’s $640 billion richer today. Not a bad investment.
Now he’s spending up to $200 million to try to keep Republicans in control of Congress.
Our job: Stop Musk. Stop Trump. Elect Progressives. End Citizens United.
