This isn’t a case of a player who deeply loves the club being swayed by a ‘passionate owner with vision’, it’s a giant baby strong-arming anyone rejecting him.

Only narrative that makes any sense is Marinakis threatening legal action against MGW for leaking his clause.

Why would MGW:
1. Avoid signing new deal
2. Leak his release clause
3. Another club triggers it
3. He then goes quiet for 2 weeks
4. Then sheepishly extends by 1 year

The longer MGW drags, the more it seems like there’s no basis from Forest.

Without complaints lodged, the illegal approach angle seems to be falsely morally justifying their stance, hoping we can’t be bothered and disappear.
