This is one of my favorite and amazing facts that combines history and ancestry. President John Tyler (1841-1845) had two grandchildren STILL alive. Sadly, the oldest, Lyon Tyler, just passed away. A president from prior to the civil war has a grandchild alive today. Amazing.
