PAC-832 is the first drug of its kind. It works by selectively blocking a receptor in the brain called “galanin receptor 1,” or GalR1. The drug has sub-micromolar potency for GalR1 and >30x selectivity over GalR2/3. (2/16)
On September 13, 2007, Lieutenant Jason Redman, a US Navy SEAL, led an assault team on a high-stakes mission outside Fallujah, Iraq, to capture a high-value Al-Qaeda operative.
As the team advanced, they were ambushed with heavy machine gun and small arms fire. Redman was struck multiple times, with rounds tearing through his left elbow and shattering his jaw, exiting through his nose.
Despite being shot seven times and sustaining catastrophic injuries, he fought valiantly alongside his team, ensuring their survival. With little cover, the team called in a "Danger Close" AC-130 gunship strike, one of the closest fire missions of the Iraq War, to neutralize the enemy. Redman's leadership and resilience under fire allowed the entire team to return home alive, earning him the Bronze Star with Valor and the Purple Heart. While recovering at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Redman faced 37 surgeries, 1,200 stitches, 200 staples, and 15 skin grafts, losing his sense of smell and much of the mobility in his left arm.
This clip is brutal:
Vigilante to the father of the acquitted gang rapist:
“On your son’s social media he said she deserved to be raped because of her mini skirt… Are these the values you’re teaching your children?”
He then calls out the imported victim-blaming culture directly.
This is the scene that probably got Citizen Vigilante banned.
Your honest reaction?

US Navy Pilots Test Captured Japanese Fighters (1945) 🇺🇸🇯🇵
Colorized footage captures U.S. Navy pilots conducting flight trials with a captured Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa credited with 16 aerial victories and a Mitsubishi A6M Zero credited with 11 victories near the Navy’s Patuxent River testing grounds in Maryland in June 1945.
By flying and evaluating these aircraft firsthand, Allied pilots gained valuable insight into their strengths and weaknesses, helping them develop tactics that exploited superior speed and diving performance while avoiding the turning battles where Japanese fighters excelled.
A fascinating look at how the Allies studied the enemy to gain an advantage in the air war over the Pacific.
American Special Operations Forces (SOF) carried out combat missions in Afghanistan throughout the United States’ War in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021.
Autonomous tractor from Netherlands! 🇳🇱
Despite all the narrative, we are still building awesome companies in hardware space in Europe.
Recently, I've posted about a Chinese autonomous tractors company. So today I wanted to show something that was created in the middle of Europe.
This is a fully autonomous tractor from Dutch company @AgXeed, designed to work on fields without any human supervision.
It's powered by a diesel engine that drives a generator, which then powers electric motors driving the tracks.
The fuel tank allows for 24 hours of continuous operation. (nice!)
The rear hitch has an 8-ton lift capacity, the front has 3 tons. It's equipped with electric PTO, hydraulic pump, and all the connections you'd find on a traditional tractor, meaning you can attach standard farm implements. (nice! x2)
Safety and navigation are handled by a LiDAR sensor on top, ultrasonic and radar sensors, and contact-sensitive bumpers. RTK GNSS receiver provides positioning accuracy down to 2.5 cm.
Love seeing that so many companies are trying to make farmer's life easier!
What are the others companies building in agri-tech? I want to meet them! 👀

I'll never forget what a dude who fought in Fallujah I knew said about it. It was the most scared he had been in his whole life and since, but it also the most alive he felt too.
