We live in a simulation. Only Ben and the #Pirates could go into a trade deadline with key assets, and come out not just a worse team, but organization. Can't get valuable returns, if they dont even value their own players.
This one really kills me:
Bailey Falter (3.73 ERA, $2.2 million) traded because he's a "non-tender candidate (I.e. getting too expensive)
Return 1: A 28-year-old reliever w/5 innings of MLB experience
Return 2: 21-year-old at High-A, .790 OPS, undrafted last year
There is no reason to continue rooting for the @Pirates. They’re about to waste a generational pitcher. Should have traded Skenes today and folded the franchise. What a sorry excuse of an organization from the very top to the very bottom.
