INSTANT TAKEAWAYS: Dolphins 13, Raiders 27 🐬

Miami opens the season with a loss in Las Vegas.

But this game gave us plenty to evaluate.

Here’s what stood out to me 🧵👇

Luka Magic...that is all

[Matt Wallace @MattWallace888]

Luka Doncic to Yaxel Lendeborg:

“Get back in here p*ssy. I WANT MORE”

Steve Kerr goes full Karen mode and scolds Luka: “Don’t call him the P word”

Luka drains a half-court shot in his face and stares him down.

The level of disrespect is crazy lol I love it.

👀🦁 Sam LaPorta is being honest about the business side of football.

You put your body on the line every Sunday, perform at a high level, and naturally want that commitment to be rewarded.

Detroit has a tough decision to make: pay its homegrown talent or risk losing him.

🐬 Dolphins fans, if LaPorta ever became available, would you want Miami to pursue him, or would you rather build through the draft?

[Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report]

#Lions TE Sam LaPorta on not getting a contract extension:

“It’s disappointing that you go out there every week and bear the risk of getting hurt. Like last year, I broke my f—ing back for the team. And then I’m going out there this year and I’m balling, and maybe they’re just not showing the love.

“I’m going to continue to do my thing and ball out, and in three months, if I don’t get to wear the Honolulu blue and play for the Lions anymore, it’s going to be all good. I’ll go get paid somewhere else. So whatever.”

That’s a fair question 😂 I’m not saying Jackson is some elite tackle, but teams can always use depth and competition up front. If Detroit sees something they like and is willing to make an offer, Miami should listen. I’m not giving him away, though. The price has to make sense. 📞🐬 #Phinsup

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

If I’m the Dolphins GM, I’m on the phone with the Lions RIGHT NOW. 📞🦁🐬

I want to know what Detroit is willing to offer for Austin Jackson. If the price is right, I’m listening.

Miami is rebuilding, and every opportunity to add draft capital has to be considered. We have to think about the future while making sure we have a plan for the offensive line.

Brad Holmes, let’s talk business! 😂👀

The Detroit Lions are reportedly one of the teams interested in trading for Dolphins OL Austin Jackson

#PhinsUp #OnePride

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

@OoskHD 👀🐬 Depends what you’re willing to give up! 😂 If Detroit is looking for help, let’s talk business. What are you offering Miami for Austin Jackson? 📞🦁

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

I hear you. Detroit definitely has a strong O-line, so I’m not saying tackle is their biggest need. 😂 But if they’re interested in Jackson, I’m picking up the phone. If the offer makes sense, let’s talk. If not, we hang up and keep it moving. No harm in exploring the market. 🐬🤝 #Phinsup

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

😂 Detroit definitely has needs in that secondary, so if they’re calling Miami about Jackson, I’m listening! But I wouldn’t count LaPorta out that quickly. He’s still a talented TE. Either way, if we can turn Jackson into draft capital to help this rebuild, let’s explore it! 🐬📞 #Phinsup

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

I get the frustration, Mike. When a team is struggling like this, everybody in the building has to be evaluated, from the players to the coaching staff. But I want to see accountability and a clear plan for where this team is going. If Hafley and Sullivan are the guys leading this rebuild, they have to show us that the vision is actually working. We can’t keep asking fans to be patient without seeing progress. 🐬💯 #Phinsup

[Devante Gant @Dandsfinstalk]

@GatorPunisher67 That’s fair 😂👍 If Detroit sees him as depth, I’m curious how much they’d actually be willing to give up for him. Either way, I’m making the call and seeing what the market looks like. If we can turn Jackson into another draft pick, Sully needs to explore it! 🐬📞 #Phinsup
