@MelissaLMRogers What's would be a successful strategy? So far we have not done anything to stop firearms from flowing into Canada from the US. I would argue that the thing we have been doing (going after law abiding domestic firearms) has failed.

@mysticl @AaronGunn In this case they have a purpose and goal in mind but their purpose and goal doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Just because they say something or have good intentions does not make it true.

@mysticl @AaronGunn They give a "purpose" of a bill but then ignore actual effects. They say the effect is not the purpose and so the effect is not relevant. It's like saying "My plane will fly indefinitely" but when we point out that it doesn't have an engine they ignore you and say it has wings.
