I think the issue is the call on “control”, not what happened after it was determined “no-catch”. Unfortunately instant replay and flawed catch rule open the door to scenarios like this that lack logic or integrity. WR had possession of that ball for 98% of the play, but 3 frames of stopped time detects space so that discounts the rest of the control? What’s next, microscopic forensics on moving molecules between ball and body?

To be fair the original didn’t allow for a second helmet shell. So the throwback wouldn’t have worked, so we had to make a Navy version of the new scheme with a white lid 🤷🏼‍♂️

With that, I fully agree on the full throwback being the upgrade. I wish they left the numbers of the helmets for this one.

@BMooreCreativ The Falcons primary helmet is highly underrated. The slightly enlarged decal and added metallic in the decal and facemask , in a rare case, actually added integrity.

Last #hotrod stuff and then back to sports. Took a vacay to Hawaii and I took a vacay from sports and graphic design.
