1st we said bye to Modric this World Cup, yesterday we said bye to Neymar and today we say bye to Ronaldo.
Absolute legends of the game that we will no longer see in a World Cup.
Respect the hell out of this statement. This is why I’ve always said FIFA is a class organization that always does things the right way above the table
@MattDoyle76@bob_morocco They needed someone who could dribble through a crowd. They could only pass and cross after the red card A Chucky Lozano type who can best a player on the dribble was not in and they took off Quinones to boot.
@TelemundoSports They left it all out there. Couldn’t get the second bounce on any crosses after the red card. I thought taking Quinones out was an odd move. Play with three strikers why not - you need a goal and the other team was down a man. Great heart either way as expected from the players.
There is precedent in World Cup history for a player’s suspension getting overturned.
64 years ago, Brazil's Garrincha was to be suspended for the final, but host nation Chile led a successful petition to allow him to play.
