Trump on Balogun: "I saw the play, and I'm a person that loves sports ... that wasn't a foul. That wasn't even an infraction ... this referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past. He made a call that nobody could believe ... he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant ... yes, I asked for a review by FIFA."
@NYNJHarper He could’ve said the Mets were rebuilding after he got rid of the old core. At least that would have been a plan and then he wouldnt have had to trade away prospects for one year of peralta. But he didnt know what he wanted to do
@newromecliff@Ihartitz That I guess depends on what you expect from the number 2 overall pick. In the sense that he was a solid player for 11 years you can say he worked out, but he wasn’t the franchise cornerstone piece that the saints & media hoped/thought he’d be
@StevenACohen2 Thanks for tweeting, I actually appreciate you giving us some accessibility. In the view of many, stearns went to war with the fans this offseason by saying he knew better about Pete and Nimmo. He called his shot and it blew up in his face. Hard to endure this
@WFANalumni When @StevenACohen2 made public comments earlier, every single moron on @WFAN660 - specifically @craigcartonlive — was screaming about how “I don’t need to hear from Steve cohen!” Now you want to hear from him? He’s letting Stearns hang himself, as he should
@TioALnyc@TeamThirstTrap Fans being too attached to homegrown players like Pete, Nimmo, McNeil and also Brett Baty and Alvarez is an inhibitor to improving. But this team sucks, not just bc of injuries. They’re 12 games under .500. It’s a fragile roster littered with bad bets
@BestBallPlug Disagree, there’s so much variance that casual fans can win. It’s not like DFS where they might win on a single slate, but lose over time and eventually quit. I think we’re still early with best ball
