Happy #NBADraft Day.
Nearly five years ago, we watched an eighth-grader suit up for his first prep school game and dominate.
We walked out of the gym claiming:
“AJ Dybantsa is the future.”
Nearly five hours from now, he’ll hear his name called in Brooklyn.
Moments like this are a reminder of why we do what we do — identifying, evaluating, and documenting talent before the rest of the basketball world catches up.

Scouting Notebook📓⏩️ Brimmer & May vs. Putnam Science
‘24 @aggiembk signee Andre Mills had yet another in a long line of strong performances this season.
While he used to be known as someone whose shot was a weak point in his game, he has put in the work to completely turn that around, as he is now one of the most impressive shot-makers in the entire region. His mechanics and touch are much improved and his ability to rise over contests on and off the dribble is a game-changer for Brimmer.
Couple that with his slashing, and he is a real offensive threat. He has a quick first step, is a strong driver, and finishes through contact well. His playmaking continues to develop, too, as he projects to provide real value on and off ball at the next level.
Beyond that, he continues to play with a motor that seems impossible to match, flying around to loose balls and boards and wreaking havoc on the defensive end.

‘25 @PCFriarsmbb commit Oswin Erhunmwunse continues to gain steam after working his way back from injury. He was uber productive and unbelievably imposing tonight, making the most of his minutes.
The junior is a special vertical athlete, as you can see in the video below. Combine that with his strength and timing, and he has the tools to dominate the paint.
Defensively, he completely altered his opponents’ decision-making with his shot blocking and rim deterrence. Whether he was recovering in a tilted defense or operating as the low man, he erased countless shot attempts.
On the offensive end, he made his biggest presence felt on the glass, but also showed some intriguing touch and threw down some big time dunks.

Available ‘24 PSA wing Justin Johnson was key for the Mustangs in a big win Tuesday. Fresh off an offer from Bryant, he put on a strong two-way performance.
Offensively, his confidence in his shot and ability to make difficult jumpers well beyond the arc continue to stand out. He also showed flashes of intriguing decision making as a PnR ball handler.
Beyond that, he put a lot of effort in defensively, tirelessly looking to create havoc and muck things up for his opponents.

Despite still acclimating back from injury, ‘25 South Kent wing Badara Diakite grabbed our attention on Tuesday.
He is an incredibly unique prospect with a combination of size, length, and fluidity you rarely see from a wing, especially at his age.
In this one, he showed how seamlessly he can toggle between playing on and off the ball. His feel is advanced, as seen in his subtle passing manipulation and timely cutting. He also leverages his shooting flashes well to get downhill and showed some impressive footwork, decel, and tight space navigation as a slasher.
His motor and length together were game-changing on the defensive end as well, as he crowded ball handlers, made plays in the passing lanes, and bothered shots at the rim.

‘26 Putnam Science big Ben Ahmed had a huge impact for his team tonight, looking like one of the most dominant players on the court despite being an underclassman.
It continues to strike us not just how strong Ahmed’s frame is, but how well he knows how to use it. He is already adept to sealing and fighting for positioning early, battling through contact and leveraging his positioning and footwork to create advantageous windows in the post. He is also unrelenting on the glass, making him an absolute force to deal with.
On the defensive end, he also moves better than you’d expect and is learning how to defend effectively in different situations, too.

‘24 Derik Queen had another dominant showing on Sunday in Springfield.
On the offensive end, he seemed to be able to turn any touch into a 🪣 or a trip to the FT line. He plays with a combination of overwhelming force and pure polish that makes him an incredibly difficult assignment. He also could attack well as a rim runner, in the low post, or slashing out of faceup opportunities.
On the defensive end, he continues to look spry, causing havoc with his aggressive PnR coverage, while also being a presence protecting the rim.
