Karen Bass was talking to John Alle (also referred to as John Alli in some reports), a Los Angeles businessman and property owner. This was a phone call on January 4, 2025 (three days before the Palisades Fire started), which Alle recorded himself. He has publicly identified as the person on the other end of the line. Alle's background: He owns properties/business interests in areas like MacArthur Park/Koreatown and the Palisades. He had periodic contact with Bass's office on local issues (e.g., homelessness, fire safety, wind concerns).
Why the call? Alle says he called to warn her about high winds and fire risks ahead of her planned short trip to Ghana (for a presidential inauguration, at Biden's invitation). He recorded ~90 seconds of the conversation for his own records after she pushed back on his suggestions (e.g., holding a press conference or staying home). Evil at work at the highest levels of Government against Citizens of Las Angeles. Same As Maui Fire ,North Carolina Floods, So Much Evil.
