It was a pain to operate without electric assist which on my airline was only on the FWD LH door, awkward to arm and disarm, the viewing window weird to access outside and you had to make sure you out of it path when opening.
Looks pretty easy but 787/777 hinge much easier.
man look at this old Boeing 767 door trainer... the way it plugs in then slides UP automatically? pure genius, so cool and safe. why'd Boeing ditch this for the 777/787's more normal hinged ones? was it too heavy/expensive or just not worth it anymore?
