If we ACTUALLY bring Max Clark back then what on earth are we even doing? A truly diabolical defender, aimless crossing, and just all round a terrible “footballer”! I’d much rather see McManus as LWB, backfill at CB, bolster our lacking midfield, and utilise funds up top! #gills

@Truebluejock Got exposed as a weakness in our back line every single game because he just wasn’t it. Non league player at best. He got released for a reason, because he’s just not up to the level we require, unsure why fans would want a released player back!

@NH32563455 Agreed on Smith and Beckles - but to bring in more CBs would mean getting rid of them which just won’t happen - I’m all for giving the team time to gel but capitulating like that just isn’t good enough #gills

Just my thoughts: Freeman isn’t a wingback, we now need MINIMUM 2 CBs to replace Gale and injured Gordon, another box to box midfielder to play alongside Albarus, and another striker who knows where the net is. Only bright sparks for me were Harris, Brophy and Albarus. #gills

@NH32563455 @JamesCleal @leo_watts33581 @TheGillsFC @Julian_KPI This is the thing for me, yes he assists a fair few, but his role of LB he is by far our weak link in defence and teams identify that and always play down his side - as a wing back he is okay at best, but if we’re playing a 4 he is truly awful🤷🏻‍♂️
