normalize having a conversation with your producers about what you CAN afford, rather than ghosting mid convo or making snide comments about the price. It might go something like this:

Hey, I really like that beat you posted, I’d like to purchase a lease for it. But i don’t have a huge budget rn.

- do you accept partial or split payments?
- I have $40 I can spend rn, would you be willing to accept that for a ___ license?
- wow that’s a bit out of my price range rn. Is the price firm? Or would you be willing to accept ____?
-do you have any discounts or promo codes I could use to bring the cost down?
- do you have any similarly styled beats that you’d be willing to part with for less?

Be open and honest with us about where you’re at. a lot of us are more than willing to work with you around the cost. I know it gets expensive doing everything you’re doing. I’m not here to take advantage of you or treat you unfairly. Make sure you bring that same energy into your conversations with me.
