.@NFL - can we please stop with the horror movie previews during prime time??? I can’t be the only one with young kids watching football with us every week. #EndPrimetimeHorror
.@jimmyjohns - how did we go from “freaky fast” to “freaking slow”? Been to two locations in the last month and both took more than 20 minutes to get 3 simple sandos with 2 or less customers inside… some work to be done here with operators team
One of our topics with my high school entrepreneurs today was:
Sales is NOT about convincing; it's about filtering:
Who wants something that you can offer? And of the things you offer, what do they want?
This is the future of education. The little moments we spend discussing sales, relationship building, communication, customer service, teamwork and other core business concepts.
I hear people every week say they use X / Twitter as their stream of consciousness microblog- a the place to post ideas, get feedback, and hone in what #content topics to double down on, but my sense is that only works if you actually have a substantial following - am I wrong?
I suppose it doesn’t necessarily hurt because then anyone can get value out of it if anything I say is indeed valuable, and I can look back at and search through my old notes.
Thoughts?
The Rule of 100:
Spend 100 hours a year (or 18 minutes a day every day) on any skill, and you'll be better than 95% of people at it.
Is this real? Can you really hit the top 5% with just 18 minutes a day?
@barkflight Have a friend who lives on Snowflower Drive who said a house right behind theirs “blew up,” though not entirely sure what that means and don’t have much more color. Assuming that means the fire is a structure fire on either Joy Lake Road or Big Pine Dr uphill from Browns Creek TH
#CaldorFire - 8/31/2021 Morning Maps v2.0
Major activity on SE side of the fire near Kirkwood, where a large firing operation took place along Highway 88 overnight. Detailed maps on The Lookout. I'll update the post with forecasts and narrative by 9am. https://t.co/84wbxU50Su
#CaldorFire - 8/31/2021 Morning.
Many mapping websites use satellite heat detections to show dots for fire location. These are inaccurate, not intended for tactical use. Aerial mapping flights, much more accurate, DO NOT show fire in town at 5:20 am. Please don't spread bad info.
