The bulk of the damage in the City of LA has been like a 8 block by 5 block area. 99.9% of the City has been unaffected.
The way people from outside of LA talk about the unrest is so disconnected from reality.
A pretty shocking clip from today. An LAPD officer on horseback tramples a protester who then falls in front of another horse. As others try to help the protester up, an LAPD officer wields a blunt weapon to strike the protester, but strikes a nearby horse in the head.

I read a 💔 story today about the creator of Strawberry Shortcake/the Care Bears,
Muriel Juneberry Fahrion, who gets 0 royalties from the endless products made from her IP, all bc in the 70s she was work for hire 🥺
She lives on Social Security and her independent online store.

if so, please submit a public comment in support of LA city’s potential transit first policy that would prioritize the signals of surface-running transit vehicles!👇🏽
I know its really scary for people to face the truth: A lot of the people on the street didn't make "bad" choices. Normal life things happened to them: Layoffs, death of a loved one, illness. That's all it takes and you're on the street.
whose idea was it to build so many 4 BD+ apartments or houses with 1-2 bathrooms
